May 2017 - Inspiring Women : Influence Generations

​In May our teaching & discussion topic will be Inspiring Women - Influence Generations.  And we invite you to contribute and join the conversation.


​​FOCUS:   
  • Let's give praise to the moms, grandmas, aunts and women who have poured into our lives. 
  • Include scripture(s) which reflect your influencers attributes. 
  • Include a photo of your influencer (w/you would be great)  
  • Include 3 suggestions for how we can be an influencer and pour into other women's lives
     (specifically related to your influencer's attributes)
CONCEPT:         
  • Tell about a particular woman or how many have poured into and influenced your life for Christ 
  • Blog should answer questions: (or similar)   
    • What challenges did they face / overcome?
    • How did they live out Christian love (or other attribute)?
    • How is your life different / impacted because of them or what you learned from them
SUBMISSION DEADLINE
​APRIL  7TH
CONTENT:
  • ​Include: 700 - 900 Word Count for blog / devo 
  • include translation for any additional scriptures used 
  • provide one pull quote or sticky statement

General Content Guidelines and Submission :

The devotion should be based on one key verse from Scripture.
**The teaching should include proper Biblical reference and context
​The teaching can include a personal story from everyday life.
Be sure to include the lesson learned from your story, and how it relates to the key verse.
Write with a friendly tone, not a formal tone.
Make a point to move from “me” to “we” in your devotion. How can WE apply this teaching to our lives today?
Blog: 600 – 900 words​  /  Blurb: 200 - 500 words
Content should be original and unpublished, and edited ready to publish.
Preferred format: Word document
A graphic may be submitted for inclusion, however a Sweet To The Soul branded graphic with an applicable scripture will be created for the post.
Include a short bio with picture, blog address & social media links (bios on Team member page will be used)
All general content should be submitted by the 20th of the month.
Team Sweet To The Soul members will receive priority for preferred dates.
Unsolicited content contributions will be reviewed by our editor prior to acceptance as content to be published.
​We retain editorial decision making about what content gets posted (Biblical integrity is a priority for this ministry).

The devotion should be based on one key verse from Scripture.

The central verse needs to be specific to the devotional topic’s reading list.
Include two additional verses from Scripture related to the topic for further reading/study. Add these at the end of the piece (not included in the word count)
Post length needs to be between 600-900 words.
Include 1 – 3 further study / or application questions.
Include a short closing prayer.
As you write, keep it simple. Avoid using church language that may be unfamiliar to some.
All specific date or topic reservations should be submitted by the 5th of the month prior. [i.e. reservations for March should be completed by Feb 5]
All content should be submitted by the 20th of the month prior. [i.e. content for March should be submitted by Feb 20]
This timeframe will give Team Sweet To The Soul members priority for preferred dates and allow room solicitation of additional contributors.
